BrainNook is a learning tool intended to make math and English fun for children. Young users can explore the BrainNook website, participating in activities that improve their math and English skills while exploring many popular places found on Earth (in a virtual setting, of course). The site provides a safe, moderated place that allows young internet users to interact and play with others. The entertainment options offered by BrainNook include more than 100 educational games that are based on basic math and English concepts. Some are 3D spatial visualization games while others include sentence building and syllable counting exercises.
The user can create their own character which they use to explore BrainNook. The characters are designed to look like comical aliens that the child can choose colors and names for. BrainNook has also worked a number of themed locations into its virtual world, including the bottom of the ocean, a Swiss farm or an oasis in the desert. The site keeps record of the child’s development by awarding levels and percentages in specific subjects. Users earn stars and can earn bonus stars for challenging other real players and winning. The stars earned can be put towards purchasing clothing and accessories for the user’s alien character.
BrainNook is a product of NuNook Interactive. NuNook is a game developer and publisher that focuses on interactive games intended for teenagers and children. The company is headed by CEO Abhijeet Vijayakar. BrainNook is currently NuNook Interactive’s main product. BrainNook is currently in beta.

Overall, BrainNook is very kid-friendly and provides a colorful, clean learning environment for young minds.
